Festivals & Events

Sault Ste. Marie is home to a year-round lineup of festivals and community events that bring people together. Immerse yourself in art, culture, and heritage, or  enjoy a day in the community, some live music, culinary delights, or live theatre. Whether you’re looking for  community gatherings or seasonal fun, our celebratory spirit is captured in a number of festivals and events throughout the year.

Enjoy world-class arts performances and cultural events celebrating creativity in the north. The Festival runs every October and offers programming including music, theatre, dance and the visual arts.
Jump into three days of fun on the waterfront for everyone. Don’t miss the live music (free entry), Ribfest, the midway, the Rotary Community Day Parade, and more! Celebrate our community and make new memories at the Sault’s Summer Festival.
Celebrate winter with snow sculptures, outdoor games, fireworks, and the beloved bum slides and so much more fun for all ages — at the Soo's annual winter carnival.
Chrome, classics, and culture — a must-see annual car show with major local flair. Held as a ‘kickoff to summer’ in the city, car enthusiasts from Canada and the U.S. show off their cars like time doesn’t exist.
See classic plays and original works brought to life by local theatre groups like the West End Theatre Project, Musical Comedy Guild, and Sault Theatre Workshop. Touring productions — from musicals and comedy acts to drag shows and tribute bands — often take the stage at the Sault Community Theatre Centre. You can even catch a concert, orchestra performance or something totally unexpected.
